WAR OF 1812 IN THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES
The Michigan Historical Review seeks proposals for articles to be included in a spring 2012 special issue on the War of 1812 in the Great Lakes region, preferably west of Niagara. Articles should be based on original research or reinterpret commonly accepted conclusions related to the conflict in this region. Suggested length is 8,000 words including notes. Prospective authors should send a 300-word proposal summarizing their subject, probable thesis or conclusions, and types of sources, plus a brief c.v., to David Macleod, Editor, Michigan Historical Review, Clarke Historical Library, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48859 or MIHISREV@cmich.edu. Please respond by April 30, 2010. The Clarke Historical Library may host a one-day conference for authors if this proves manageable for those involved.
