American Studies summer workshop for secondary school educators -- Registration is now open
The Lovett School's American Studies Institute 2010 workshop focuses on "America on the World's Stage, 1893-1919." Held June 9-11, 2010, on Lovett's Atlanta, Georgia, campus, the workshop features Dr. David Shi, president of Furman University, as the keynote speaker and offers sessions on film, music, art, architecture, sports, popular culture, and literature from America's Progressive Era.
The workshop is open to all secondary school educators who want to encourage their students to learn about America from an interdisciplinary perspective. Participants who successfully complete this workshop will earn one PLU credit.
