2010 Virginia Forum
Registration is now available for the 2010 Virginia Forum, to be held April 15-17, 2010, in Hampton Roads, Virginia, at Christopher Newport University and the adjacent Mariners' Museum. The Virginia Forum offers an opportunity for exchanges of ideas among scholars, archivists, librarians, museum curators, K-12 teachers, and all those interested in Virginia history and culture. At this year’s conference, Helen Rountree will give a plenary address on the Chesapeake voyages of John Smith followed by an evening reception at the Mariners’ Museum. Presenters in concurrent sessions will cover many aspects of Virginia history, including maritime history. An optional sunset boat tour of the Hampton Roads waterway is also offered. The program, online registration, and accommodation information are available on the conference website at www.virginiaforum.org. For further information contact Phillip Hamilton at 757/594-7251 or .
