We take great pleasure in inviting you to participate in the 4th International Symposium –“Contemporary Issues of Literary Criticism” which will be organized by Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature in partnership with I. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Georgian Comparative Literature Association, held in October 6-7-8, 2010.
The theme of symposium is
“The Epoch of Classical Realism: 19th-century Cultural and Literary Tendencies”.
The following Panel topics will be in operation:
• The Problem of Human Essence;
• The Forms of Narrative in a Text;
• Genre Modification;
• Mythology and Imagology;
• The Main Directions of Criticism;
• The Problem of National Identity;
• Typological Analysis of Literary Processes (Comparative Studies);
• National and World Literary Processes;
The interested applicants should send paper titles, abstracts of no more than 250 words and filled registration forms electronically by May 1, 2010 to the Organizing Committee on the following email: maillit@litinstituti.ge (Mariam Nebieridze).
