I am seeking panelists and a commentator/chair to participate in a session on women and slavery at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the Organization of American Historians (Houston, TX in March 2011).
My paper will explore white women’s visibility and invisibility in antebellum slave markets. I ask scholars whose work might speak to this theme (women and slavery) or who might be interested in acting as commentator/chair of this panel, to contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible, but no later than February 1, 2010. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please send me a paper prospectus of no more than 250 words and a CV of no more than 500 words.
The deadline for OAH submission is February 25, 2010 so it would be great if you could reach out to me before February 1st!
