Greetings,
I am seeking panelists and a chair to participate in a session on women and slavery at the 2011 Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association’s (Boston, Mass. in January 2011).
My paper will explore white slave owning women’s economic roles in American slavery and the household in the antebellum South. I ask scholars whose work might speak to this theme (women and slavery), or who might be interested in acting as chair of this panel, to contact me via email at sjonesrogers@history.rutgers.edu as soon as possible, but no later than February 1, 2010. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please send me a abstract of no more than 250-300 words and a CV of no more than 500 words.
The AHA’s submission deadline is February 15, 2010 so it would be great if you could reach out to me before February 1st!
