Submissions are solicited on a wide variety of topics relevant to emerging markets including but not limited to:
monetary and fiscal policy
financial institutions and markets
international trade flows
foreign direct investment and outsourcing
*economic development and growth
*energy policy and security
*employment and migration
*agricultural economy
*resource economics
*regional integration and monetary union
*transition to a market economy
*sustainability and “green” economic development
*political stability and country risk
*post-crisis global architecture and regulation
*corporate governance and privatization
*the end of Doha and future of global trade liberalization
All submitted papers will be considered for publication in the journals Emerging Markets Finance and Trade and Eastern European Economics, both of which are included in the Social Sciences Index and Journal of Citation Reports, published by Thomson Reuters.
Important Dates and Notification
Extended Abstract or, preferably, Complete Paper Submission Deadline: January 31, 2010.
Acceptance of papers will be announced by February 20, 2010. Papers will be reviewed by the Editor, the Editorial Board and the Associate Editors of EMFT.
Conference Registration for Accepted Papers: March 30, 2010.
Registration for participants not presenting papers- July 15 2010. Those wishing to attend the conference but not to present a paper may contact the organizers if they wish to serve as a discussant or chair a panel.
Accepted papers must be submitted to the Editor of EMFT by May1 for inclusion in the conference CD ROM and prompt consideration for publication in either journal associated with the conference.
Conference Dates: July 16-18, 2010.
