The Program on Conducting Archival Research (POCAR) at the George Washington University's University's Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES) is pleased to announce a FOIA workshop for Ph.D. students working on dissertations involving archival research on topics related to modern history and international relations.
The 8 March 2010 session will offer a unique opportunity for graduate students to learn the fundamentals of the Freedom of Information Act and how to use it.
Applicants must submit the application form (see website), a two-page proposal indicating how they would benefit from participation in the FOIA Workshop, and a CV.
The deadline for applications is February 1, 2010.
