Call for Proposals
Editor, Civil War History
The Kent State University Press invites qualified scholars to submit proposals to edit Civil War History beginning with volume fifty-seven (2011).
Published quarterly, Civil War History is the foremost scholarly journal of the sectional conflict in the United States, focusing on social, cultural, economic, political, and military issues from antebellum America through Reconstruction. The editor solicits, evaluates, and selects articles and reviews and prepares each issue’s manuscript for submission to the Press.
Proposals should include an editorial statement of purpose and CV. The successful proposal will include at least a five-year editorial commitment and a detailed letter of support from the candidate’s academic institution.
