CALL FOR PAPERS (Extended Deadline)
2010 Annual Meeting of the Florida Historical Society

Extended deadline for Paper Proposals: February 15, 2010.
For those wishing to present papers or panels at the 2010 Florida Historical Society meeting in St. Augustine, Florida, please use January to send in your paper topic and abstract to the program chair. The 2010 will be a great venue for papers on colonial Florida, African-American history, the Civil War, and any number of other topics as Florida heads toward major anniversaries in its history. Graduate students and undergraduates doing advanced research are encouraged to attend and to present on their topic.
The 2010 Annual Meeting will be held May 27-29, 2010 in St. Augustine at the Casa Monica Hotel, St. Augustine. Due to expected high attendance, participants are urged to reserve their rooms early by calling 1(800)648-1888, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. Please reference “2010 Florida Historical Society Room Block” to receive our negotiated rate of $130.00 per night.
Papers, panels, and round table discussions in all areas of Florida history are welcome:
To submit an individual paper, please send a title, 150-word abstract and one-page CV.
Proposals for panels should include a 150-word abstract and one-page CV for each panel member plus a session title; a 150-word abstract for the overall panel; and a suggested moderator/discussant.
