GLOBAL CRISES AND THE PROSPECTS OF SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA
Consequent upon the 2nd Annual National Conference of the Sch of Arts and Social Sciences of MOCPED, organised in July this year, the above titled book of readings is to be published mainly from papers presented at the conference that successfully went through the peer review process.
The publication titled: GLOBAL CRISES AND THE PROSPECTS OF SUSTAINABLE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IN AFRICA is to be published in two volumes and should be out of press by the end of February, 2010.
The scope of papers presently in the book covers the issues of slave trade, colonialism / neo colonialism, religious fanatism and terrorism, international migration, globalization, external debt crises etc. all within the context of Africa's experience.
However, to further enrich the scope of the publication and especially to widen / further internationalize the contributions in it, the editorial board has decided to place this announcement with the hope of inviting additional contributions on areas not covered by presently accepted papers and also to benefit from the experiences of other continents.
Hence, contributions on any area relating to the theme but most especially on issues that relate to the following areas will be most welcome:
1. received religions and their relation to international terrorism (if any)
2. global crises and cultural change
3. historical perspectives on global economic crises
4. Africa in the context of international political order
Contributions should not be more than 15 pages written on A4 paper, ms word, double spaced, times new roman and A.P.A. style of referencing. It should be sent as e -mail attachment to both (i) email@example.com and
