Workshop participation in Berlin
Up to 40 successful applicants to the essay competition will be invited to discuss their research with prominent scholars at two of Europe's leading
research institutions. For the finalists of the essay competition the Irmgard Coninx Foundation will cover travel to and accommodation in Berlin.
The workshops will take place at the Social Science Research Center Berlin, 7 - 11 April 2010. Workshops will be chaired by José Casanova (Georgetown University) and Fernand de Varennes (Murdoch University).
Deadline for essay submission: January 15th, 2010
Irmgard Coninx Research Grant
An international jury will award two three-months fellowship to be used for research at the WZB, the Humboldt-University Berlin and the State library Berlin. The Grant includes a monthly stipend of EUR 1,000 plus accommodation and its winners will be invited to join a follow-up workshop in Berlin in 2010/2011.
