The History, Politics & Society Summer School provides insight into issues and events that have influenced the contemporary world. Applicants choose two seminars from: British Politics, 1900-1945; The Changing Face of Britain; The Contemporary Middle East; Empire and Decolonisation in the Twentieth Century; The European Union in Perspective; Globalisation - Evolution or Revolution?; Human Rights in Perspective; Post-Communist Europe; Warfare in the Modern World. Each seminar has two two-hour meetings per week, and classes will usually contain no more than twelve participants. Taught at a postgraduate level this programme is ideal for working professionals, individuals already holding a first degree, or senior undergraduates.
