SHFG is now accepting proposals for individual papers and panels, which will take place in March 2010, at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland. Proposals on any aspect of federal government history and history practice will be considered and are encouraged. SHFG welcomes submissions from historians, archivists, librarians, curators, graduate students, and others engaged in the study of federal government history, regardless of whether or not they are federal employees. Topics may include digital history, archivist issues, historian issues, public relations with donors, and outside work completed by professionals in the federal government. The deadline for proposals is December 20, 2009.
SHFG was founded in 1979 as a non-profit professional organization to promote study and broad understanding of the history of the United States Government and to serve as the voice of the federal historical community.
