An International Conference of “Arts in the Age of Post-technology” will be held between May 27 and May 30, 2010 (Thursday – Sunday), in Nanjing, China. It is jointly organized by the School of Arts of Southeast University, China, the School of Film and TV Art and Technology of Shanghai University, China, and the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Texas at Dallas, USA. The conference organizers cordially invite scholars and specialists in the field of art and technology from the world to submit proposals and papers, which focus on the general theme of “Arts in the Age of Post-technology.” Specific topics include but are not restricted to the following: 1) Technological Innovation and Ideas of Arts; 2) Technological Innovation and Art Forms; 3) Technological Innovation and Artistic Styles; 4) Technological Innovation and the Future of Arts; and 5) Integration of Art and Technology. The working languages for the conference will be Chinese and English. The organizers will send a formal letter of invitation to those whose proposals or papers are accepted after screening.
All international scholars (including scholars from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) are responsible for their expenses of international travel, but once they arrive at Shanghai or Nanjing International Airports, the conference organizers will take charge of their domestic transportation, meals and accommodation during the conference. Each international participant is required to pay a modest conference fee of US$ 100, which will cover registration, conference materials, snacks, drinks, and other incidentals. All Chinese participants are required to pay a conference fee of 200 Chinese yuan. After the conference, the conference organizers will make arrangements with a local tourist company for a sightseeing tour in Nanjing or Yangzhou.
All international participants are requested to send their proposals or papers in Mocrosoft Word format to the conference organizers at this email address: mdgu@utdallas.edu or ynli19@163.com by March 30, 2010.
