The History of Marine Animal Populations program invites papers for the conference
Oceans Past III: Stories from the sea - history of marine animal populations and their exploitation
Date: 18-20 November 2010
Venue: Synge Lecture Hall, Trinity Long Room Hub, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland
Themes
1. New evidence of historical change in marine animal populations and ecosystems
2. Data management, modelling, and visualization in marine historical ecology
3. Linking history and science to policy and management
4. Stories from the Sea: narratives, perceptions and representations of marine animals
5. Interaction between Human and Marine Animal Communities - long term changes in social and economic priorities
Proposals should include a list of authors, the corresponding author and a max. 300-word abstract in English. The proposal must state at which thematic session they wish to present and include the participant’s institutional affiliation and mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
All abstracts must be sent electronically to oceanspast@gmail.com .
