Krakow Festival Office, Tygodnik Powszechny Foundation and Centre for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the Jagiellonian University are pleased to announce the opening of the first edition of the Joseph Conrad International Literature Festival, scheduled for in Krakow, Poland, 3-7 November 2009.
The aim of the festival is to foster multi-cultural intellectual debate on the contemporary world literature, by creating the space for a dialogue between all those who are passionate thinkers and writers. Among the guests Krakow will play host to this year are such distinguished authors as Per Olov Enquist, Atiq Rahimi and Pascal Quignard.
