Frame 23.2 will be published in spring 2010 and is centred around the theme ‘Graphic Novel’. De editorial board invites scholars in the field of Literary Studies and Cultural Studies to hand in proposals for articles.
The questions that are central to this issue are: what are the possibilities of the interaction between text and image? Does the term graphic novel point out a distinction between mainstream comics and ‘literary’ comics and if so, what is the difference? Is the graphic novel a genre of a medium?
