Abstract and Call for Papers
Native American Studies graduate students at Montana State University are seeking papers or panels from other NAS/AIS/IS faculty and students (graduate and undergraduate) exploring community-based strategies for countering environmental threats. Disruptions to the natural order affect the viability of all people, but indigenous peoples’ lives and lands are differentially affected. Furthermore, the protection of land, water, and air is intertwined with indigenous concerns over cultural, physical, and spiritual health. To ensure that future generations can survive and flourish on their own terms and in conditions consistent with their own sacred philosophies,
