The hit HBO drama series 'In Treatment' depicts the conduct of therapy by one therapist seeing a series of recurring patients. The show is an object of intense fascination by fans and by therapists. On Nov 8, 2009, Boston Institute for Psychotherapy will offer a panel of distinguished Boston clinicans (Rafael Ornstein, MD; Joseph Shay PhD; Susannah Sherry, MD,; and Judith Yanof MD) presenting on topics related to the conduct of psychotherapy both in the TV drama and in real life. Video clips from the series and active audience discussion are part ofthe progra. This is part of the ongoing series 'Psychology Goes to the Movies'(tm), sponsored by BIP. The seminar will take place at Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill MA.
