The Africana Studies program and the Eisenhower Institute at Gettysburg College invite submissions from scholars at all levels and disciplines for the 2010 CPC Africana Studies Conference at Gettysburg College February 26-27. The conference is designed to foster intensive dialogue concerning the objectives, implementation, and effectiveness of public policies impacting people of African descent in any area of the world. There will be no concurrent panels, enabling all participants to engage in an ongoing conversation throughout the conference.
Organizing themes for the conference within the rubric of
Public Policy in the African Diaspora
• Public Health Policy
• Promoting Human Prosperity
• Environmental Justice
• Neglected Infections of Poverty
We invite individual paper presentations or proposals for entire panels. Please limit your proposal to 500 words and submit by December 1, 2009. Limited funding may be available to assist with travel costs.
