The next issue of JSSJ journal will be focused on “Spatial justice and environment”
The relations between social and environmental inequalities have come to play an important role in both scientific research and in political debates. The issues raised, formulated in different ways, are highly dependent on the contexts in which they have emerged. But debates within the different movements in existence today do all recognize a state of ecological crisis. Given the widespread use of policies to protect the environment, questions of justice (who protects what, and above all, for whom and at what cost?) have become crucial.
The call for contributions for this special issue is available at www.jssj.org/04.php . The deadline for submission of summaries is October 30th 2009
