CALL FOR PUBLICATION: CRUSADES ARTICLE - 14th October 2009
We would like to invite postgraduate students and early career researchers working in any field of Medieval Studies to submit abstracts of 350-500 words for papers on any aspect of the Crusades, but preference may be given to those articles looking at events from a Muslim perspective.
This follows on from the conference ‘Battle and Bloodshed: Representations of War in the Middle Ages’, which took place on 13th – 14th June 2009 at the
Humanities Research Institute, University of Sheffield; the organisers intend to publish a collection of essays with Cambridge Scholars Publishing.
We are looking to include a section on the Crusades and are in need of one extra paper.
Please submit these by October 14th 2009.
The final article should be 5-6,000 words in total including endnotes.
Abstracts can be sent to battleconference@sheffield.ac.uk or directly to l.bleach@sheffield.ac.uk.
Please include your name, institution and contact details.
For information, please see our website:
