The Institute of Caribbean Studies, University of Puerto Rico-Río Piedras, invites the academic community and the general public to the lecture entitled “LA HUELGA COMO INSURRECCIÓN EN EL CARIBE FRANCÉS: APUNTES SOBRE LOS EVENTOS DE ENERO A MARZO DEL 2009” by Dr. Yarimar Bonilla, Anthropology Department, University of Virginia. Dr. Frances Santiago, Humanities Department, UPR-Mayagüez Campus, will serve as commentator. The activity will be held on Thursday, September 17, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Amphitheater CRA 108, Carmen Rivera de Alvarado Building, Faculty of the Social Sciences.
