The Theory and Criticism Focus Group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) invites participants to join its second annual book discussion roundtable, to be held at the Hyatt Regency Century City in Los Angeles, August 3-6, 2010. The overall conference theme, "Theatre Alive: Theatre, Media, and Survival," advocates understanding the intersections between the live and the mediated, and so in keeping with this year's theme, we will discuss Peggy Phelan’s 1993 classic text *Unmarked: The Politics of Performance.*
If you are interested in joining this roundtable book discussion, please email your contact info, a brief biographical statement, and a 1-2 paragraph statement describing your interest in *Unmarked* by October 19th to: Kathryn Edney, firstname.lastname@example.org .
Please note that if selected for the roundtable, participants must purchase their own copy of the book (currently available on amazon.com).
