Gender in Arthurian Fiction
at the 40th Annual Popular and American Culture Associations Conference
March 31 - April 3, 2010
Renaissance Grand Hotel,
St. Louis, Missouri
This session seeks papers on gender and its representations in contemporary Arthurian fiction, particularly papers that consider the ways in which masculinity, chivalry, femininity, dress and appearance, heroes and heroines, incest, infidelity, or sex have been reimagined by contemporary novelists. Preference will be given to papers that employ a critical approach to gender in contemporary narrative Arthurian retellings.
Abstracts should not exceed 250 words. Panel proposals must include abstracts from all session participants. E-mail submissions are preferred.
