Journal of Shi‘a Islamic Studies

The Journal of Shi‘a Islamic Studies (JSIS) is a refereed academic journal published by the Islamic College for Advanced Studies (ICAS) in London. As “Art and Social Science” review editor of (JSIS), I welcome reviews of books, films and other media, academic thesis and projects that explore any issue of Shi‘a Islam or Islam in general.

We welcome submissions from a wide range of disciplinary and geographical perspectives. Submissions from researchers working within, or among, the fields of: anthropology, visual anthropology, socio-cultural anthropology/sociology/religion studies/area studies/cultural studies/ film and media, visual art, art history/gender studies are particularly encouraged.
