A conference sponsored by the Arizona Historical Foundation on the occasion of what would be Senator Barry Goldwater's 100th birthday and also the completion of the recataloging and opening up of his personal and political papers.
Participants will not memorialize Goldwater but place this leading figure's life, politics, and legacy in the larger narrative of twentieth-century U.S. history.
Scholars include: Mike Bowen, Joseph Crespino, Brian Allen Drake, Laura Jane Gifford, Niki Hemmer, Jason LaBau, Micaela Anne Larkin, Nelson Lichtenstein, William A. Link, Drew T. Meyers, Andrew Needham, Michelle Nickerson, Jeff Roche, Elizabeth Tandy Shermer. Rick Perlstein and Robert Goldberg will offer keynote addresses.
