I am putting together a panel on youth for submission to the 125th annual AHA conference to be held in January, 2011. Submission deadline for panel proposals is February, 2010.
The panel will focus on the theme of "growing up." One paper will discuss this as a cultural concept squarely placed in the middle-class context of the late 19th century. Another paper will discuss radical youth activists of the 1930s who "grew up" to become stalwart defenders of the liberal establishment.
I am looking for 1-2 more paper proposals as well as a chair and/or commentator to complete the panel.
Please e-mail me if you are interested.
