We are seeking contributors for an edited collection, The Business of Black Power: Community Development Corporations, Policy Production and Corporate Responsibility in Postwar America. This volume examines changing notions of corporate responsibility in the era of Civil Rights and Black Power; we aim to untangle the complicated relationships that emerged between community activists, career politicians and major corporations in response to black agitation, urban unrest and rioting in the postwar period. We are seeking essays that focus on cities in the northeastern United States, but will consider relevant works from other areas of the US.
