Dear colleague,
Please be informed of the Africa Peace and Conflict Network (APCN) and its new website www.africapeace.org. The Network is dedicated to contributing to a positive peace in Africa. Activities include research and knowledge generation and dissemination--done through APCN's open-access email listserv, publications, and symposia--and peacebuilding work, assistance, and training. APCN also provides training and specialist expertise, and it produces a variety of public events and publications.
New members, affiliates, and ideas are welcome. Joining APCN is still free at present; to do so, register on the website and join our email list (link is on the site), and contact us if you have suggestions or wish to volunteer or contribute to our work.
Publications and call for submissions:
APCN publishes peer reviewed scholarly materials broadly related to peace and conflict in Africa. In addition to its online forums, APCN is establishing a refereed, scholarly/professional print journal, Review of African Conflicts and Peacebuilding.
Submissions are peer-reviewed and feedback is provided to authors. For website publications, APCN permits authors to also publish their work elsewhere.
For additional information, see website’s Publications page. In addition to author instructions, that page offers free downloads & resources, including a podcast, two photo-essays, research papers, book and film reviews, etc.
Site edits & new content are being added daily. You can subscribe to the RSS feed to automatically receive new publications of your choice.
Organizational partnering:
We are partnered with a number of peacebuilding and human rights organizations and are open to forging additional institutional links and collaborations.
We welcome suggestions and proposals for partnering, collaborative projects, APCN activities, etc.; send them to mdavidhe[at]africapeace.org, Cc: aniuska[at]africapeace.org.
