The history graduate students of the University of Maine and University of New Brunswick wish to announce the 11th Annual International History Graduate Student Conference, set for September 25th to 27th. In past years, the conference has attracted participants from a number of universities throughout the United States and Canada. This year's event will be held on the University of New Brunswick campus in Fredericton, N.B., Canada.
We invite all interested graduate students, from any university or college, to submit proposals related to any topic of historical investigation. This conference is designed to offer graduate students the opportunity to present their work before a friendly audience of peers, and an opportunity to meet other graduate students who have similar experiences and interests in an expanding discipline.
Dr. Stephen Hornsby will deliver the keynote address on 25 September 2009. Dr. Hornsby is the Director of the Canadian-American Center as well as a Professor of Geography and Canadian Studies at the University of Maine. He specializes in Canadian-American history, Historical Geography and expansion of Europe overseas.
