We are seeking submissions to an edited volume that deals with the intersection of politics and fashion between 1915 and 1945. We are looking specifically for essays that deal with female fashion trendsetters of the avant garde and how their personal appearances reflected their political ideals.
Potential women to be featured include but are not limited to: Eva Braun, Coco Chanel, Edda Ciano, Caresse Crosby, Nancy Cunard, Marlene Dietrich, Isadora Duncan, Fernanda Gattinoni, Rosa Genoni, Sonja Henie, Hedda Hopper, Alice Marble, Lee Miller, Deborah Mitford, Diana Mitford, Nancy Mitford, Pamela Mitford, Unity Mitford, Eva Peron, Leni Riefenstahl, Wallis Simpson, Prunella Stack.
