On behalf of the senior editors I am pleased to announce that the Journal of Korean Studies has been offically indexed in the Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI).
The Journal of Korean Studies (JKS) is dedicated to providing outstanding articles, from all disciplines on a broad range of historical and contemporary topics concerning Korea. In addition the JKS publishes reviews of the latest Korea-related books.
The Journal of Korean Studies editors and editorial board welcome submissions for publication. Submissions are accepted year round. Deadline for the 2010 issue of the JKS is December 15, 2009.
Submission Procedure:
The JKS is published annually in the fall.
Article manuscripts, should not exceed 50 double-spaced pages in length. Please submit two hard copies and an electronic copy of the manuscript. (The electronic version can be submitted on disc or via email.) Notes should be at the end of the text. For style and documentation format, consult the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th edition (Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2003).
Romanization of Korean words and names must follow the McCune-Reischauer system. Materials that have been accepted for publication or are being considered for publication elsewhere should not be submitted to the JKS.
