The Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE) is pleased to announce that applications are open for its North American European Summer University in Schloss Hofen, Austria. The Summer University starts on July 19th till August 4th, 2009. This year's theme is "The relations between Europe and North America".
A wide variety of experts including academics, social scientists and practitioners from Europe and North America will teach in this programme. Classes will deal with the situation in Europe, Canada and the United States, transatlantic security and economic issues such as for example NATO, commercial relations between North America and Europe and also with the contemporary challenges of transatlantic relations.
The Summer University lasts two and a half weeks and is aimed at graduate students and young professionals. For particularly qualified candidates we do also consider the application of advanced undergraduate students. A maximum of 30 participants from Europe and North America is envisaged. Working language is English. 6 ECTS credits available.
Simulations, group discussions and excursions to Bregenz,the Lake of Constance and surroundings are part of the programme.
Some grants are available to specially qualified candidates after examination of the registration form.
