The Jean Monnet European Center of Excellence Hannover invites you to attend this year’s symposium dealing with the EU's Foreign, Security, and Defense Policy. On 19/05/2009 the symposium starts at 10 a.m. in the Hodlersaal of Hannovers New Townhall.
The Symposium starts at 10 a.m. You will be able to hear speeches by Prof. Dr. Michael Gehler (University of Hildesheim), Prof. Dr. Manfred Baldus (University of Erfurt), Prof. Dr. Gisela Müller-Brandeck-Boqcet, the German diplomat Bernhard Kampmann and former Brigadier General Robert Bund. Participants of the symposium have the chance to discuss European Foreign, Security, and Defense Policy with these outstanding experts. The symposium will end ca. 5 p.m. The conference language will be German.
Afterwards participants of the symposium are invited to stay for the „Europarathaus“ starting at 6 p.m. where invited guest speakers are going to discuss the European election and topics related to European security. The "Europarathaus" will also take place in the Hodlersaal. Among others the mayor of Palermo, Leoluca Orlando, is expected to participate.
