The Centre international de formation européenne (CIFE) is pleased to announce that applications are open for its third European-Turkish Summer University in Istanbul. The programme is organised in collaboration with Istanbul Bilgi University and realised with the financial support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The Summer University starts on July 15th till August 2nd, 2009. This year's theme is "The relations between Europe and Turkey".
Topics are among others: EU internal Policies; EU external policies; Turkish foreign policy towards the Middle East and Asia; EU - deepening and enlargement; Turkey today; EU and Turkey in international organisations; Accession negotiations; Europe in the long run: where do we go?
The course lasts two and a half weeks and is aimed at graduate students and young professionals. For particularly qualified candidates we do also consider the application of advanced undergraduate students. A maximum of 30 participants from Europe and Turkey is envisaged. Working language is English. 6 ECTS credits available.
Simulations, group discussions and excursions to Istanbul and surroundings are part of the programme.
