The George Meany Memorial Archives is pleased to announce the opening of two new collections:
RG95-009. Alan Kistler Papers, 1954-2000.
This collection comprises the papers of Alan Kistler, director of the Department of Organization and Field Services of the AFL-CIO from 1974 to 1986. It is especially rich in documenting his official activities as chief umpire in organizing disputes during the years 1987 to 1992. Also included is extensive correspondence to and from Kistler during the period from 1978 to 1985 while he served as director of the department.

RG95-010. Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Selected Records, 1863-1906.
This collection includes an 1863 handwritten constitution and by-laws of the Brotherhood of Footboards organized in Detroit as well as forty seven BLE documents, such as written communications, membership cards, convention credentials, receipts, and membership forms from various locals.
