South Carolina Women: Their Lives and Times, A Symposium

USC, together with the Southeastern Institute for Women and Politics and the SC Alliance for Women, will present a one-day symposium:
SOUTH CAROLINA WOMEN: THEIR LIVES & TIMES
Thursday, June 4th, 2009
Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center
This one-day symposium honoring women in South Carolina history will feature presentations by scholars who have contributed the essays to the forthcoming, three-volume anthology, SOUTH CAROLINA WOMEN: THEIR LIVES & TIMES, edited by Marjorie Spruill and Valinda Littlefield and Joan Marie Johnson. The symposium is for scholars and for the general public, and will conclude with a discussion, "South Carolina Women: OUR Lives and Times" about women's issues, opportunities, and challenges in the state today.
