A multifaceted show about the 30 irrigation ditches in and around Boulder. The show includes art, a re-photographic survey, natural and political history of ditches, ecology, historic maps of water development, school art, and more.
Ditches are caught between the desire for agriculture and the urbanization of our land. They have constructed what we now call our “natural” Front Range landscape. Learn about the people who work the ditches, the issues they face, and solutions for the future of these rapidly urbanizing waterways.
