Trinity College Dublin is delighted to welcome the Society for the Study of French History to its historic city centre campus for its 23rd annual conference on 29-30 June 2009.
This year’s conference includes papers and panels on a wide range of topics and themes relating to the political, social and cultural history of France from the late middle ages to the present day.
The subject of this year’s plenary addresses is ‘Violence in French History’ and our invited speakers include Stuart Carroll (Univerity of York), Timothy Tackett (University of California, Irvine) and Stéphane Audoin-Rouzeau (E.H.E.S.S.).
