The International Association for Intelligence Education (IAFIE) will be holding its Fifth Annual Conference on "Teaching Intelligence" May 26-28, 2009 at the University of Maryland University College Inn and Conference Center outside Washington, DC. Costs to attend are: $150 (student); $250 (IAFIE member); and $400 (non-IAFIE member). Keynote presentations will be provided by former Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell; former Attorney General Edwin Meese; and Francois Mathiew, the Director of Criminal Intelligence Training for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
Consistent with its mission of expanding research, knowledge, and professional development in intelligence education, the subjects of the IAFIE conference include:

• Teaching Critical Thinking and Structured Analytic Techniques
• Teaching Military, Law Enforcement, and Competitive Intelligence
• Teaching Predictive Intelligence and Intelligence Technologies
• Teaching Intelligence through Discovery

• Students’ Perspective on Learning About Intelligence
In addition, there will also be an Author’s Roundtable for authors of intelligence books including Mark Lowenthal, Don McDowell and Robert Clark.
