Duties and Responsibilities
Teaching general courses in Business Studies as well as Entrepreneurship and Management in undergraduate and postgraduate Business programmes in German and in English
Teaching Business Management in Engineering programmes
Research and practice in the field of Entrepreneurship
Particular focus on research and in research fundraising
Contribution to the development of new study programmes including further education
Profile
A good honours degree in Business, Management or Industrial Engineering and a doctoral degree in Management
Practical experience in the formation, management and/or consulting of technology-oriented new ventures or new lines of business
Experience in teaching academic subjects and training of social skills
Excellent command of German and English languages
The professorship will be expire 3 years after the commencement date.
Conditions of employment conform to § 36 of the University Regulations of NRW; as a general rule, it is required that all professors must have gained a minimum of three years extensive experience in an appropriate area of fulltime employment outside the university environment. In addition to meeting the academic criteria described above, it is expected that the successful candidate will be prepared to actively participate on the university governing committees, to contribute to both the academic standing and the research area of the department, and to deliver lecture courses in English. Fluency in a second foreign language would be an advantage. The professorship may also take the form of a part-time salaried position.
