The History Press is looking for local historians and writers interested in publishing a community history. We are a traditional, full-service press that focuses exclusively on publishing works of local and regional interest. We are dedicated to preserving local stories that are too often overlooked by national and university presses. Since we publish books accessible to the community,it is important that authors have strong ties to their community.
Briefly, the way we work is that we invest wholly in the author's project and the author receives royalties based on book sales. This means that there is no financial expense to authors.
