Seeking scholarly papers in biology, geology, hydrology, zoology, chemistry, geography, history, glaciology, environmental sciences, medical sciences, agriculture, political science, and public policy that deal with the environmental history of Kashmir. Accepted papers will be published by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) of India in late 2009 or early 2010 in the edited book The Environmental History of Kashmir. We are actively searching for papers that focus on how the various listed academic disciplines have impacted the people of Kashmir, the environmental and public policy of Kashmir, and the local and national use of the natural resources of Kashmir. Submitted papers should be sent electronically, 10 to 35 pages in length, in MS Word format, and properly documented using endnote style. All papers will be vetted and juried by May, 22, 2009, at University of Kashmir, Srinagar.
