William Carlos Williams's Paterson: The Province of the Poem
Location: William Paterson University, Wayne, New Jersey
Date: Thursday 18th - Saturday 20th June 2009.
Proposals are welcome by 30 April 2009 from scholars wishing to participate in a round-table conference to showcase work relating to any aspect of William Carlos Williams's long poem, Paterson. Papers relating to other aspects of Williams's work are also welcome. Participants' papers (15-20 pages) will be circulated in advance of the meeting and each participant will be allotted one hour within which time they will introduce their work for 10-15 minutes leaving ample time for questions and discussion. This year's guest speaker and respondent to the papers will be Steven Gould Axelrod, Professor of English at the University of California,Riverside.
