On March 24, 2009, Richard Norton Smith, acclaimed American historian and speechwriter, will speak at 7:00 p.m. in Warriner Hall's Plachta Auditorium on the campus of Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. On the 200th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth, and at beginning of a new presidency, Richard Norton Smith asks why Lincoln is the president by whom all others are measured.
