As a board member of the organization Historians of British Art (HBA), I am honored to chair a committee that reviews proposals for HBA sessions at upcoming annual conferences of the College Art Association (CAA).
On our radar screen now is a 90-minute “mini-session” at CAA’s next conference, which will occur in Chicago February 10-13, 2010. This session must address a topic of concern not only to scholars of British art, but also to a broader range of scholars. In keeping with HBA’s desire to reach across disciplinary boundaries as often as possible, please contact me if you have a topic to be addressed, and also if you would like to organize or participate in this session yourself. Please send me an abstract no later than April 15. If your topic is selected, our committee will ask you for a proposed line-up of participants by August 15.
