Call for Papers: Darwin and History, 20-22 November 2009
Place: San Diego State University
Description: To mark the 150th anniversay of the publication of The Origin of Species (and to mark the Charles Darwin bicentennial), the conference will focus on what historians have to say about Darwin and Darwinism, and what Darwinian thought has to say to historians. Other conferences on Darwin's place in other disciplines will be taking place at San Diego State University simultaneously. For the "Darwin and History conference," please submit either individual paper proposals or complete sessions, with a 250-word description of each paper and a 1-page c.v. for each participant, to Prof. Edward Beasley, Dept. of History, San Diego State University, at Edward.Beasley@sdsu.edu. To save paper, only electronic submissions will be accepted, and please include all materials in one electronic file.
Deadline for Submissions: 1 July 2009
Notifications to be sent by 15 August 2009
