The Journal is pleased to issue a call for submissions for its second edition, "Engaging the Taboo: Gender, the Body, and Sexuality in our Religious Traditions"
Call for Papers Deadline:
Conceptualizing gender, sexuality, and the body has challenged theologians and religious leaders for millennia. The Journal of Inter-Religious Dialogue™ hopes to broaden the scope of discourse through an edition dedicated to these topics, which all too often are left out of inter-religious dialogue and work for the common good.
-All submissions must be the original, previously unpublished work of the author(s).
-Authors are also advised to read about the Journal prior to submitting an article.
-Submissions should be around 3,500 words, including references and a 100-word abstract.
-Submissions should adhere to the Fifteenth Edition of the Chicago Manual of Style.
-Co-authored articles are welcomed and encouraged.
The deadline for submissions for the second edition of The Journal of Inter-Religious Dialogue™ is May 31, 2009. All articles submitted after this date will not be considered for publication. You will hear back about the status of your submission by August 30, 2009.
Process for Review:
After an initial vetting process, each submission will undergo a rigorous peer review by members of the Board of Scholars and Practitioners. If accepted for publication, the Journal’s staff may edit the submission for mechanics and adherence to writing standards.
Articles for "Additional Discourse" Columns:
If you would like to submit a brief (500 to 1,500 word) article on faith and politics, inter-religious work on the college campus, science and religion, a recently published book, or innovative non-profit work related to dialogue, you are welcome to submit an article, as well. You should hear back about Additional Discourse articles within five business days of your initial submission.
